While no physical copy exists, you can find high-quality MP3s on peer-to-marketplaces like eBay or Discogs from sellers who originally downloaded it and are offering the files on a USB or CD-R. This is a gray area, but it supports another fan rather than a pirate site. Alternatively, buying Born Sinner (which includes Truly Yours 1 as a bonus) shows Dreamville there’s demand for rarities.
This is why so many fans still search for a “zip download.” The project exists in a legal gray area: it was officially free, but not officially for sale or streaming. Dreamville has never taken it down from blogs or file hosts because they never monetized it. However, that doesn’t mean piracy is the answer.

J. Cole 's was released as a free EP on April 30, 2013, as a "thank you" to fans leading up to his Born Sinner album . Because it contains various uncleared samples, it is generally not available on major subscription streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music . Official & Community Sources
J. Cole’s official YouTube channel doesn’t have Truly Yours 2 , but many fan channels have uploaded the full EP as a single video or playlist. You can stream it there for free, ad-supported. Use a YouTube-to-MP3 converter only if you own the right to make a personal backup—otherwise, just stream it.
Just click and download." (Always make sure your source is legit)
Great question. Unlike Truly Yours 1 (which was eventually added to streaming as part of the Born Sinner deluxe edition in some regions), Truly Yours 2 has never officially made the jump. Why? Sample clearance issues are the likely culprit. Many of these beats use uncleared soul and R&B samples—expensive or impossible to license for commercial release. Since the EP was originally given away for free, Cole and Dreamville didn’t pursue clearance. Uploading it to streaming services now would require retroactive licensing fees that might not be worth the return.
In an era where almost every song is available on Spotify, Apple Music, or Tidal, the search query might seem anachronistic. However, there are several reasons why fans continue to seek out these specific files.
