When Windows manages your smart card reader, it often installs the wrong driver. You need to force the manufacturer's driver.
Octoplus (GSMServer / GsmServer team) intentionally designed the smart card requirement to and counterfeiting. “Switching to license mode” is a deliberate fallback, not a bug. They consider smart card failure as hardware warranty issue (usually 12 months).
