Gently wipe the screen with a dry cloth. Avoid using sharp objects on the display.

When you turn the power switch ON (usually located on the side or back), the scale will perform a self-test. All segments on the display will light up momentarily. Allow the scale to warm up for at least 5 to 10 minutes before calibrating or weighing to ensure the load cell is stable.

Keep the label gap sensors free of dust and adhesive buildup to prevent "Paper Out" errors. 5. Troubleshooting Common Issues

Supports wireless options for flexible positioning and can send automatic email alerts when label rolls are running low. 2. Quick Setup & Daily Maintenance Digi Sm 5000 Scale User Manual

If you need the original manufacturer’s document, do the following:

Calibration should only be performed if you have known test weights (typically 50%, 75%, or 100% of scale capacity). Incorrect calibration will ruin accuracy. If you are unsure, hire a certified scale technician.

A: Most SM 5000 models are IP54 (splash-resistant) but not submersible. Do not pressure wash. Look for “IP67” on the label if you need full waterproofing. Gently wipe the screen with a dry cloth

If you are setting up a new (or new-to-you) Digi SM 5000, follow these steps carefully.

The TARE function stores the weight until you press ZERO or restart the scale. The maximum tare value is typically 100% of the scale’s capacity, but for best accuracy, do not tare more than 80% of the rated max.

Before diving into the technical "how-to," it is important to understand the machine you are working with. The Digi SM-5000 is a label printing scale (often referred to as a "Wrapper" scale). Unlike simple digital scales that just display weight, the SM-5000 calculates price and prints adhesive labels for pre-packaged goods. All segments on the display will light up momentarily

If you are using the Digi SM 5000 for commercial transactions (e.g., selling produce, scrap metal, or chemicals), the scale must be certified.

The internal calibration procedure for the Digi SM 5000 is often locked behind a service menu. Below is the standard procedure found in most Digi SM 5000 scale user manual revisions.

        • This is the Senior Paralegal who uploaded the document ... that still cannot be downloaded. Did you find any solution to this issue? I now have a 5,044 page document that cannot be downloaded.

We are having this same issue in 2025. Also now can't upload an attachment from Outlook, tried downloading the attachment to my computer then uploading it. Selected save and close and then checked an hour later and both documents previously uploaded are now gone...
