The film is gorgeous. DP shoots the Norwegian forest like a cathedral of dread – misty mornings, blood-red sunsets, and claustrophobic cabin interiors. The sound design (nominated for the Amanda Award , Norway’s Oscar) uses silence as a weapon. You will hear every bone snap, every wet breath.

The film follows Lars (Aksel Hennie) and Lisa (Noomi Rapace, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo ), a married couple whose relationship is rotting from the inside.
