To understand Rondo, you must first understand Klira. The company, whose full name was , was founded in 1882 in the small town of Schönbach, Bohemia (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now Luby, Czech Republic). The Klier family had been making violins, zithers, and mandolins for generations.
