The episode picks up exactly where Episode 165 left off. Yami Yugi is trapped in the subterranean tomb beneath the Kame Game Shop. His opponent is not a living person but a cursed suit of samurai armor possessed by the vengeful spirit of a warrior from 500 years ago. The duel is taking place on a floating stone platform above a massive, fiery abyss. Yugi has just Summoned Dark Magician Girl and is feeling confident.
