Xemu on Android represents one of the final frontiers of emulation. The desire to play Crimson Skies , Ninja Gaiden Black , or Steel Battalion (with on-screen virtual controls) on a smartphone is powerful. However, the technical chasm between a desktop x86 PC and an ARM-based phone is vast.

Compared to AetherSX2 (PS2), which runs 90% of games at 60 FPS on a mid-range phone, Xemu on Android is still in the “proof of life” stage.
As of this writing, there is on the project’s GitHub or website. The primary maintainers (Matt Borgerson, etc.) focus on desktop x86_64 platforms. However, the open-source nature of the project has allowed third-party developers to attempt ports.
