Memoir Of A Snail -2024-

Unlike many twin narratives that focus on psychic connection, this film focuses on the violence of forced separation. The letters between Grace and Gilbert that bounce across the continent are the emotional backbone of the film. As the years pass, the letters grow shorter, smudged with tears and flour (from the farm) or tears and cigarette ash (from the city). The film asks a brutal question: Can love survive the cruelty of geography?
