Epson Robot Eds File

⚠️ Incorrect editing of an EDS file can cause loss of safety limits, motor vibration, overtravel, or physical damage. Always back up the original.

Getting Started with Epson Robot EDS Files If you're integrating an Epson robot into an industrial network, specifically using EtherNet/IP , you will inevitably need an Electronic Data Sheet (EDS) file

To set up an Epson robot as a slave on a Fieldbus network (like EtherNet/IP or DeviceNet), you need an Electronic Data Sheet (EDS) file. This file tells your Master PLC exactly how to communicate with the robot. 🛠️ Where to Find the EDS File

The connection establishes, but data values are garbage, or the PLC shows a "Size Mismatch" fault (Code 16#0115). Cause: In Epson RC+, you defined a 32-byte output assembly, but in Studio 5000, you configured 4 bytes. Solution: In Epson RC+, go to Setup -> I/O -> EtherNet/IP and note the exact size of "Output Instance" and "Input Instance". Replicate those numbers in the module properties.
