Often cited as the best film in the series, A Shot in the Dark is where Sellers and Edwards discovered the true potential of Inspector Clouseau. Abandoning the heist narrative for a murder mystery in a French country estate, this film is a masterclass in comedic timing. The Blu-ray presentation captures the atmospheric lighting of the castle and the physical nuances of Sellers’ performance.
