This set up G.I. Joe 3 . Unfortunately, that film never came. Over the years, scripts were written (one involved a dinosaur-like Serpentor), but Paramount lost interest. The cast moved on. Dwayne Johnson became the biggest star on the planet. Bruce Willis retired from acting. Snake Eyes (2020) attempted a reboot, but it flopped.
