Out of the box, the Y5P runs EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10. For budget phones, EMUI is a heavy skin. It comes pre-loaded with a lot of bloatware and background processes that eat up the limited 2GB or 3GB of RAM. A custom ROM could theoretically strip away this bloat, freeing up resources and making the phone snappier.
