Hrh Chijioke Mbanefo - Cote D-ivoire Zonal Assembly ^hot^ Jun 2026
HRH Mbanefo represents a generation of enlightened monarchs who understand that the throne is not just a seat of honor but a platform for advocacy and development. His participation in the Cote d’Ivoire Zonal Assembly signaled a proactive approach to the challenges facing West Africa, ranging from economic instability to the preservation of cultural identity among diaspora communities. By stepping onto the international stage in Abidjan, he reinforced the notion that traditional governance is a vital component of the region’s soft power.
The Assembly, held under the theme “The Kingdom Divided: The Role of the Church in Political Stability,” drew thousands of delegates from across the Francophone and Anglophone regions, including Nigeria, Ghana, Benin, and host nation Côte d’Ivoire.
The communiqué included:
Mbanefo has launched initiatives to help Igbo and other Nigerian traders in the Marcory and Treichville districts formalize their businesses. Under his guidance, the Assembly has partnered with Ivorian banks to offer "non-resident" accounts, reducing the cash-based risks that many traders faced. This economic safeguarding has made Mbanefo a respected voice in the Abidjan Chamber of Commerce.
HRH Chijioke Mbanefo is showing that a royal title is not merely an ornament of the past, but a tool for building the integrated, prosperous Africa of the future. For the thousands of Nigerian families in Cote d’Ivoire, the Zonal Assembly is their home away from home, and Mbanefo is its guardian. HRH Chijioke Mbanefo - Cote d-Ivoire Zonal Assembly
