After being discharged, Màrius returns to the apartment he supposedly shares with Clàudia. The place feels foreign. He explores it like a detective. In a locked drawer, he finds an old, worn-out diary written in childlike handwriting. The name on the cover is Pere . The first few entries are innocent—games, school, fights—but on the last page, there is a single sentence: “Avui hem decidit que un de nosaltres ha de desaparèixer.” (Today we decided that one of us has to disappear.)
