The term "Nahiya" translates to "The Reserved" or "The Hidden." The Ziyarat is named so because of its ascription to the awaited Savior, Imam Muhammad Al-Mahdi (A.S.), who is currently in occultation (Ghaybat). اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ نَبِيِّ اللّٰهِ، اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ.
