The day starts early, often with a commute via Ikot Jeep or a scooter ride with Mom or Dad through the Academic Oval. The dress code is relaxed (mostly white t-shirts and denim pants), but the expectation to be "Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan" is high. Because UPD is a research university, these kids often participate in pilot studies for new teaching methods or psychology experiments (earning ice cream for their trouble).
