Editing a dedicated server save is different. Most server admins use ( /additem , /godmode , /teleport ) instead of offline editors because the server saves constantly.

Open the editor. Click “Load Save.” Navigate to: Users\[YourUsername]\Zomboid\Saves\ Select the relevant folder (e.g., Apocalypse , Sandbox , or Multiplayer ).

Most manual editing involves modifying the players.db or map_sand.bin files found in your save directory.

Windows Complexity: Medium Best For: Old builds (pre-Build 41).

To change world rules (like zombie speed or loot rarity) in an existing save:
