Season 1 was about the wedding. Season 2 is about the marriage. The "happily ever after" is quickly replaced by the reality of living together. The season picks up after Sukumar and Sreeja have settled (or unsettled) into their lives. The plot deftly explores the friction that arises when personal ambitions clash with familial expectations and the inevitable "Seven Year Itch" (or in their case, the immediate post-wedding itch).
