Mon Bazou V0.346 Review
: Your starting car (the Konig) is a rust bucket. Don't spend all your money on cosmetic "tuning" first; prioritize reliability upgrades and tires so you can make it to the sugar shack and back without breaking down.
v0.346 broke a few mods, but the community fixed most within a week. Popular ones include realistic damage, more Japanese engines, and a GPS that doesn’t require you to read paper maps.
: In this update, physics are slightly more stable, but overloading your truck with too many logs will still make it nearly impossible to steer. Make multiple trips rather than one "death trip." Essential Controls Mon Bazou v0.346
The release of marks another significant stepping stone in the game’s Early Access journey. On the surface, it might look like a simple maintenance patch, but for the dedicated player base, this version represents a critical refinement of the game’s core loop. It balances the delicate economy of illegal logging and maple syrup production while smoothing out the rough edges of the driving physics.
Furthermore, the suspension geometry on the Konig (your primary project car) has been recalibrated. Lowering your car now carries actual consequences for handling, rather than just aesthetics. Bottoming out on the dirt road leading to your shack is now a real risk if you go too aggressive on the coilovers. : Your starting car (the Konig) is a rust bucket
With , the developers have tweaked the sell prices and consumption rates. This update subtly encourages players to diversify their income streams. The price of maple syrup jugs has seen a slight adjustment, making the winter-to-spring grind of boiling sap feel more rewarding. Conversely, the wear rate on chainsaws and logging equipment has been tweaked to make the maintenance aspect of woodcutting more realistic without becoming tedious.
Early Access Verdict: A Sticky, Slow-Burn Gem On the surface, it might look like a
The Konig uses a simplified automatic or sequential. For a game about car building, not being able to heel-toe feels like a missed opportunity. Dev has confirmed it’s coming, but not in v0.346.
When a game updates to a version number like v0.346, players know they aren't getting a massive expansion pack that changes the genre. Instead, they are getting a "stabilization update." Previous updates added massive features like the maple syrup shack or the logging truck. Version 0.346, however, focuses on polish, physics, and player quality of life.
Upon waking up, do not touch the tricycle. Run to the maple trees first. The first 24 hours have a "sap bonus" that v0.346 removed the UI indicator for, but it is still active. Step 2: Boil ONE batch of syrup. Sell it immediately at the convenience store to buy the fuel line for the Konig. Step 3: Use the new Quick Repair function (default key: R while looking at an engine part) to install the fuel line. This saves you from having to remove the radiator first. Step 4: Once the car runs, drive to the burger joint. The new "Rush Delivery" side quest (added in v0.346) pays triple the normal rate if you deliver within 3 in-game hours.
